In stillness, His strength becomes clear.
Be Still
Finding calm in God’s unshakable presence
“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.”
Understanding today’s Scripture
Be Still
How do we practice this? Begin by making space. Turn down the volume—silence a notification, step outside, or sit by a window. Breathe deeply and name before God what feels chaotic. Then hand it to Him. Ask, “Father, how do You see this? What is my next faithful step?” Often, the answer will be simple: a word of reconciliation, a patient email, five unhurried minutes with a child, a courageous phone call, or waiting one more day before deciding. In stillness we discover that God is not late; He is leading. We learn to do the next right thing with a quiet heart because we are held by a mighty God.
Today, let Psalm 46:10 set your cadence. Be still—not because life is small, but because God is great. Know—not by guesswork, but by returning to His promises. He will be exalted, and as you rest in Him, He will steady your steps.
Pause and reflect
Where is God inviting you to be still today, and what one practical step will you take in the next 24 hours to rest in His leading?
Hold on to this truth
Let us pray
“Trust in him at all times, you people. Pour out your heart before him. God is a refuge for us.”
Psalm 62:8Walk It Out
Pause for three minutes today: breathe, pray Psalm 46:10, and ask God for one clear next step. Write it down—and do it with a calm, trusting heart.
