Malachi is the thirty-ninth book of the Bible and delivers God’s final prophetic message to Israel before the New Testament period. The prophet confronts spiritual complacency, corrupt worship, and unfaithfulness among the people and priests. Malachi calls for genuine repentance and renewed devotion to the Lord. The book also points forward to the coming messenger who will prepare the way for the Lord. Malachi is a book of correction, covenant faithfulness, and hope.
